  CYCLING MEKONG DELTA

Leave the city behind as you drive about an hour from Ho Chi Minh City to the town of Tan An. Then grab your bike and saddle up for a 40 km ride through a mix of countryside roads and tracks to reach My Tho. Along the way stop off at a Cao Dai pagoda and take a quick peek inside to see the different religious icons and continue on to the beautiful Vinh Trang Pagoda built in a style that resembles an Indian palace! Once in My Tho leave your bike behind and board a boat for a cruise through the four main islets of the Tien River. See houses constructed entirely from coconut trees and visit small home-based factories that produce candy and other wares made from coconuts. Hop aboard an oxcart and ride to a nearby orchard and sample the fruit, then see how the honey is collected from the local bee farm. Return to Ho Chi Minh city later in the afternoon.

LE JARAI- MEKONG DAY CRUISE

Travel into the heart of the Mekong Delta to explore the waterways on this full-day tour from Ho Chi Minh City. After about 2 hours drive to Ben Tre. Board a small boat and meander through the canals and waterways stopping at a small home based coconut processing plant to see how coconuts have been turned into oil, candy and woven mats. Then take a short walk to a local village to see mat weavers at work, before jumping on the deltas version of a tuk tuk and travelling down the country roads to the pier. Here you will board the beautiful teak boat Le Jarai to continue your cruise along the river. While onboard join in the demonstration of Vietnamese cooking before sitting down to a sumptuous three- course lunch of Mekong specialities. After lunch relax on the top deck and take in the scenery back to Ben Tre, where on arrival you will transfer back to Ho Chi Minh city arriving late in the afternoon.
